Closing a member account
When an employee is terminated, the employer will want to close the employee's member account. My Care Card lets you close a member account for reasons of employee termination. When an account closes, all the cards are closed and the member purse access terminates. Complete the following to close a Member account.
To close a member's account:
1. Find the member whose account you want to terminate.
2. Select Close Account from the list in the Profile Information title bar. The Close Account window displays.
3. Select the reason for the account termination from the The account is being closed because: list.
4. In the Additional Explanation field, enter notes or other relevant information regarding the closing of this account.
5. Click Save. My Care Card closes the member's account and blocks all cards from future use.
Note: You can reopen a closed account by selecting Open Account from the list in the Profile Information title bar if the account has not been purged from the system. Once the account has been purged during nightly processing, the Open Account option is removed from the list.
