Making a purse to purse adjustment

If a transaction posts to the wrong purse, you can move the transaction to the correct purse by performing a purse to purse adjustment. The following conditions apply:

·       Adjustments are not allowed into an Exception purse (EX) or these HRA purses (DD, FX, DX, TX)

·       A purse adjustment for the full amount is allowed only once.

·       When all purses associated with a transaction are adjusted, the transaction is locked from further adjustments.

When you perform this procedure, the adjustment takes place in real time, however, it will not post until the next processing day.

Making a purse to purse adjustment:

1.     Search for the member.

2.     Select the Member Transaction tab and locate the transaction in the Posted Transactions section.

3.     Click the Adjust icon (). The Purse to Purse Adjustment page displays.

4.     The purse the transaction is currently assigned to is listed in the Purse Detail Information section. If multiple purses are listed, the transaction is split across these purses.

5.     The purses available for adjustment are listed in the Purse Adjustment section. Select a purse from the Purse drop-down list.

6.     Specify the Adjustment amount. If you are adjusting to a single purse, the amount must equal the transaction amount.

Note: If the adjustment is made to multiple purses, repeat steps 5 and 6. The sum of these adjustments must equal the transaction amount. Click the Update Adjustment Total link to display the updated adjustment total and difference.

7.     When the adjustment total equals the transaction amount and the Difference is zero, click Submit Adjustment.
