Optimizing your browser for My Care Card

The following tips are helpful for optimizing your browser for using My Care Card:

• Use Internet Explorer versions 7.0 or 8.0 or Google Chrome as your browser

• Turn off your popup blocker, or allow popups for the My Care Card Uniform Resource Locator (URL)

Settings specific for Internet Explorer versions 7.0 or 8.0

• Set your browser Internet security level to Medium

• Create a Favorite or Bookmark link to the My Care Card URL logon page
  Important: Create this link to the logon page rather than to a secure page inside My Care Card

• Use a high-speed Internet connection

• For ActiveX controls and plug-ins security settings:

  • Set the Download Signed ActiveX Controls option to Prompt.

  • Set the Run ActiveX Controls and Plug-ins option to Enable.

  • Set the Script ActiveX Controls Marked Safe for Scripting option to Enable.

• For Downloads:

  • Set the Automatic prompting for file downloads to Enable.

• For Scripting security settings in the list:

  • Set the Active Scripting option to Enable.

  • Set the Allows Paste Operations Via Scripting option to Enable.

• Set the Scripting of Java Applets option to Enable.
