Valid User IDs and passwords

My Care Card lets you choose your own password. Your User ID is either assigned to you by your plan administrator, or you can specify one during self-registration. There are specific characteristics that My Care Card requires of your User ID and password.

User IDs can satisfy the following conditions:

• Must contain at least eight but no more than 100 characters

• Must contain at least one alphabetical character (A-Z)

• Can contain numerals (0-9)

• Can contain one of the following characters:
  ! @ $ ^ ( ) - _ = + { } | ; : , . ?

• Cannot contain spaces

Passwords must satisfy the following conditions:

• Must contain at least eight but no more than 25 characters

• Must contain at least one alphabetical character (A-Z)

• Must contain at least one numeral (0-9)

• Must contain one of the following characters:
  ! @ $ ^ ( ) - _ = + { } | ; : , . ?

• Cannot contain spaces

• Cannot contain the user ID as any part of the password

Note: The password is case sensitive. Passwords must be entered exactly as specified including capitalization. For example, if your password is Passw@rd1, My Care Card will not accept passw@rd1 as valid.
