Searching for detailed substantiation information

Use the Substantiation menu to find substantiation information in My Care Card. The Substantiation menu lets you find transactions by substantiation status and allows you to work with substantiation data for multiple members.

To find substantiation information:

1.   Select Substantiation>Substantiate Transactions from the menu. The Search for Unsubstantiated Transactions page displays.

2.   Complete the hierarchy search.

3.   Select No as the Totals only option.

4.   From the Search using list, select one of the following search methods:

·       All Members-
Select this option to search for substantiation data for all of the employer's members.

·       Member Last Name-
Select this option to find substantiation data for a specific member using his or her last name.

·       Member ID-
Select this option to find substantiation data for a specific member using his or her member ID.

·       Transaction ID-
Select this option to find substantiation data for a specific transaction using a transaction ID.

5.   In the Search for field, enter the value that corresponds to the selection you made from the Search using list in step 3.

Note: If you chose All Members from the Search using list, the Search for field does not apply.

6.   From the Filter List By Stage list, select the substantiation stage for which you want to view substantiation data.

Tip: To view all unsubstantiated transactions regardless of substantiation stage, leave the Show all unsubstantiated transactions option selected from this list.

7.   Click Search. A list of matching transactions displays with the following information for each transaction:

·       Cardholder name

·       Member Id

·       Transaction date

·       Transaction Id

·       Merchant description

·       Amount

·       Stage

8.   Find the desired transaction in the list and click the icon for the desired transaction. The Substantiate Transaction page is displayed in a separate window displaying the following information:

·       Card number

·       Employer name

·       Name (member name)

·       Member Id

·       Split icon

·       Split date

·       Transaction date

·       Plan year

·       Purse

·       Description (Merchant description)

·       Amount

9.   You can use the Substantiation Transaction page to complete the following actions:

·       Change the substantiation stage

·       Designate all or part of the transaction as ineligible
