Changing a transaction's substantiation status
As a transaction goes through the manual substantiation process, you may need to change the substantiation status manually. Select Substantiation from the menu to change a transaction's substantiation status.
To change the substantiation status for a transaction:
1. Find the transaction in the Substantiation tab.
2. Click the icon for the desired transaction. The Substantiate Transaction page displays in a separate window.
3. From the Substantiation Status list, select the status to which you are changing the transaction. If you select any ineligible status, complete the Designating a transaction as ineligible procedure.
Note: If you manually substantiate a transaction, the transaction status will display as unsubstantiated in the transaction list until the next day. If you change a transactions status from any blocked status to any unblocked status, you must manually unblock the associated cards.
4. From the Service Type list, select the service the cardholder received for this transaction.
5. In the Additional Explanation field, enter notes or other information relevant to the substantiation status change.
6. Click Save. The Substantiate Transaction window closes and My Care Card updates the transaction substantiation status.
