Blocking an account for substantiation reasons

My Care Card can automatically block accounts when an unsubstantiated transaction reaches a pre-determined point in the substantiation process. The cardholders for the account cannot use the cards until the transaction is substantiated or the plan is reimbursed. When a card is blocked for an unsubstantiated transaction, the card is assigned a status of CLV3.

The rules for determining when cards are blocked for substantiation reasons depends on your organization and your position in the hierarchy. When My Care Card blocks a card automatically, you can override a blocked card. In addition to the automatic card blocking rules, you can always block a card manually.
