Working with a member's transaction substantiation information
You can work with a member's substantiation information from the member profile. The substantiation data in the member profile is specific to the member profile you are viewing. If you want to work with substantiation data for multiple members, use the Substantiation tab.
To work with substantiation data for a member:
1. Find the member for whom you want to work with substantiation information. The Member Profile tab is displayed.
2. Click the Member Transaction tab to view it.
3. From the Card Number list, select the card for which you want to view substantiation data. My Care Card selects All Cards as the default.
4. From the Plan Year list, select the year to which the transaction applies. My Care Card selects the current plan year as the default.
5. From the Purse list, select the purse for which you want to view transactions. My Care Card selects All Purses as the default.
6. Choose a Show Split Detail option.
· Choose Yes to view child transactions along with unsplit transactions and parent transactions. Child transactions represent the individual splits of a split transaction and are indicated by the icon.
· Choose No if you only want to view unsplit and parent transactions.
7. Note: If you choose to view child transactions and a transaction splits across the selected purse and one or more purses, all of the splits appear in the search results regardless of the purse you selected in step 5.
8. Choose a Show Authorizations option.
· Choose Yes if you want to view outstanding authorization information along with posted transactions.
· Choose No if you only want to view posted transactions.
9. Note: Individual outstanding authorizations do not appear on the Transaction tab until you select this option. However, you can view the total amount of the outstanding authorizations without viewing individual authorization line items by selecting a purse.
10. Click Search. A list of posted transactions for the specified card and purse is displayed.
11. Find the transaction for which you want to work with substantiation data from the list of posted transactions and click the icon. The Substantiate Transaction page is displayed in a separate window.
12. You can use Transaction Substantiation window to complete the following tasks:
